Nutrient Density Analysis

• How do you determine what is tested?

  Our expert science team designed our tests to target the nutrients that are likely to be present in a given food, while striking a balance between low-cost testing and a "nutrient density" profile that represents a holistic overview of most foods. Some nutrients are omitted due to cost. For example, Vitamin K analysis is notoriously time-consuming, and including it would increase the cost of our standard test by over $1,000. However, it's available as an optional add-on—see our catalog for Vitamin K details and other available add-ons.

  

• Can I subscribe with one food, but only test others one time?

  Sure! Our pricing is designed to be very flexible—subscribe to analysis for any foods/products you wish to test yearly to maintain your up-to-date public listings. For any foods that you'll test less frequently, you can choose one-time analysis.

  

• Can I order more than one Nutrient Density Analysis?

  Sure! You’re free to order as many as you’d like for different foods, or even to add samples to the same food at a different point in time. Also check out our Volume Pricing if you want to order more analysis.

  

• Do I need to send the required number of samples?

  We require that number as a minimum to onboard your initial analysis with us

  

• How should I collect samples (to represent variability)?

  You may wish to send 3 samples from different points in time, from different producers, fields, production methods, input treatments, etc. You’ve got a lot of options—talk to our team about what you’re trying to achieve. We just need to receive the samples together, and they need to be of the same food type.

  

• Can I add additional tests?

  Yes! You can add any additional tests from our catalog for an additional fee.

  

• What if I want to test more samples?

• How can you offer prices this low compared to the industry?

  Our lab batches samples of the same food type, and focuses on offering high-throughput of the above standard panel of analysis. That’s why the above Nutrient Density Analysis is discounted compared to other specific tests.

  

• Is your lab accredited?

  Yes, we’re ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by ANAB.

  

• How do I get my samples to you?

  Our customer success team will give you detailed instructions based on your food type. Note that prices here do not include the cost of shipping to our lab.

  

• Are my results private?

  Your results are completely private to you unless you choose otherwise.

• What happens to my data and account if I cancel?

  Your Organization account reverts to a (free) Discovery Tier. All data that is owned by you is viewable, but you’ll lose access to editing.
