While much of Edacious’ work begins in the lab, its impact is fully realized through the people who help customers turn insights into action. In this edition of Behind the Bench, we meet Amanda Rothbauer, Customer Success Lead, a trusted partner to customers and a steady, relationship-driven force across the Edacious team.
Amanda describes her Edacious superpower as deep empathy. She genuinely cares: about people, about the planet, and about the outcomes customers are working toward. For her, success is shared: their win is her win. That mindset shows up in every relationship Amanda builds and every problem she helps solve.
When asked to explain what Edacious does in five words or less, Amanda puts it simply: “Telling food’s true nutrition story.” It’s a phrase that captures both the heart of the company’s mission and Amanda’s role within it. Everyday, Amanda is helping our customers understand what their data is really saying, why it matters, and how to leverage Edacious tools to amplify that story.
Amanda’s work sits at the intersection of science, communication, and trust. Her role isn’t just about managing projects or answering questions; it’s about listening closely, anticipating needs, and making sure customers feel supported as they navigate complex information. Clear organization plays a big role in that. One habit Amanda can’t do her job without is practicing Inbox Zero, keeping her inbox—and her mind—clear so she can stay responsive, thoughtful, and present across multiple projects at once.
Outside of work, Amanda’s curiosity and creativity take many forms. She describes herself as a hobby generalist, diving into crafts like calligraphy, embroidery, watercolor, and needle felting. She stays active walking her dog, Maisie, and playing pickleball and volleyball, and she loves gathering with family and friends over great food while exploring new restaurants around San Antonio.
Whether she’s organizing complex workflows, supporting customer goals, or mastering a new creative skill, Amanda brings the same care and intention to everything she does. It’s that combination of empathy, structure, and genuine connection that makes her such an essential part of the Edacious team.
